I have been collecting Vintage allsorts for some several years.
I just love them! even my home is old fashion style with lots of vintage materials, this I think is where some of my inspiration comes from, having it all around me.
Hubby and I have been to many places collecting,photographs,books,maps etc, Aswell as taking in the scenery :-) and a chance to get away.
The only trouble is when you have such a vast collection is " Time! " or I should say " Lack of it "
especially when making collage collections, they are very time consuming as other artists will agree, having to select each file individually and placing an entry can seem to take forever even with the fastest internet connection available, then it comes down to space and remembering where you have everything @@@ <- My Brain... sometimes :-)
I mix my collections with those free from the public domain and free from royalties as there are some beautiful freebies out there that others just want to share with us ( Bless them )
So, if you are thinking of getting into vintage crafts, collage sheets are by far the best way to start. You can buy a few mixed sheets so you have enough to make a couple of small projects, this way you can see if you will enjoy it further without spending a small fortune.
If you are anything like me, you will love what you can do, express yourself from inside out and create a " one of a kind " piece!
Let's face it... we will all be vintage one day! lol
